This fantastic cross has been performed by Steve Jackson, Australia! Seedlings already look very promising in color and petiole pattern! It is true, the parent species are closely related and the hybrids may become confusing in collections as they will be hardly distinguishable from the parent species - BUT - thanks to heterosis effects these hybrids may behave easier in cultivation allowing not so skilled people like Steve to bring them to flower! Funny Steve, he also made the cross the other way round.
